Patricia McConnell

McConnell, Patricia “Patty”, 84, resident of Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Cresson, went home to be with the Lord January 7, 2021. Born March 17, 1936, Lilly, daughter of the late August R. and Carmella (Courvina) Campagna. Preceded in death by her loving husband William H. McConnell, Jr. on November 22, 2014; brothers, John, Natale “Cook” and Victor Campagna; and sisters, Louise Armold, Florine, Cindy, Nilda and Lucille Campagna. Survived by her daughters, Brigid McConnell and significant other Tony, Sebring, FL; Brenda Luther and husband Michael, Cresson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Patty married William on June 11, 1960 at St. Brigid Catholic Church, Lilly. She worked for the Cresson Riverside and Laurel Crest, Ebensburg. Patty was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. She also loved to sew and quilt. The family would like to thank Patty Rakar who was their mother’s caregiver and special friend for 3 years. They also would like to thank the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm and the staff of Garvey Manor for their loving care over the past 2 years. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family will have a private viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated January 12, 2021 at 11 a.m., St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Committal church cemetery. The family would like to recognize the ministry of the Carmelite Sisters by requesting that memorial contributions be made to Garvey Manor, 1037 S. Logan Blvd., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
