Gertrude "Trudy" M. Trybus

Trybus, Gertrude “Trudy” M., 81, Cresson, passed away December 11, 2020 at UPMC Altoona. Born October 16, 1939, Cresson Twp., daughter of the late Ferdinand A. and Hilda M. (Hershel) McConnell. Preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael Trybus; grandson, Shawn; and brothers, Paul, Ronald, Gerald “Jerry”, and Patrick “Pat” McConnell. Survived by her loving husband, Walter J. Trybus, Jr.; daughters, Phyllis Bradley and husband Ken, Cresson; Cindy Lundberg and husband Ray, Lilly; Stella Moses and husband Mark, Amsbry; Chrissy Stone and husband Buddy, Portage; and Sherry Martyak and husband Joel, Ashville; 12 grandchildren, Steven, Tricia, Tiauna, Johnathon, Heather, Justin, Alisha, Josh, Brian, Heidi, Avery and Alyssa; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert McConnell and wife Carol, Conway; Leonard McConnell and wife Annie, Cresson; and sisters-in-law, Ann and Linda McConnell. Trudy lived her life with strong faith and love for God. She adored reading the Bible and standing on God’s promises. Trudy was always looking for ways to help anyone who needed it. She enjoyed crocheting. Most importantly, she loved her family and working with the girls at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop, Cresson. Trudy was a member of the New Life Worship Center, 600 Ritts Rd., Altoona, PA 16601, where friends and family will be received Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m., Rev. Wayne Schaffer, officiant. Private interment Cresson Cemetery. Those in attendance are kindly asked to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
