Arlene B. Hughes

Hughes, Arlene B. (Ritchey), 92, formerly of Mount Union, passed away Sunday February 19, 2023, at Embassy at Woodland Park. Born March 2, 1930, Allenport, daughter of the late Harrison and Tinnie (Beatty) Ritchey. Preceded in death by her husband, Walter Leroy “Buck” Hughes Jr.; daughter, Shelley White; son-in-law, and Johnny Harman; siblings, Hilda Yetter, Virginia McCartney, Mable McMullen, and Elmer Ritchey. Survived by children, Walter Hughes III. and wife, Connie; Cheryl Harman; Timothy Hughes and wife, Lori; son-in-law, Gerald White; grandchildren, Walter Hughes, Christopher Hughes, Lynn Sault, Katherine Nace, Gerald White Jr., Brandon White, Brenda Gutshall, Kathrine Kritzer, Hope Harman, Brad Glover, Greg Glover, and Brittany DeArmitt; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Hughes attended the Allenport United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. A private inurnment will take place at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
