Barbara Ann (Roads) Price

Price, Barbara Ann (Roads), 82, Orbisonia, formerly of Shirleysburg, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Embassy at Woodland Park. Born May 27, 1939, Napa, CA, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Bessie E. (Hobbs) Roads. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer G. Price and siblings, Fred, George, Henry, Ellen, June, and Lola. Survived by children, Grant Price, Mount Union; Joseph Price and wife, Dana, Mississippi; Mark Price and wife, Beth, Shirleysburg; Melody Price, Mount Union; Matthew Price and wife, Kimberly, Shirleysburg; Ernest Price and wife, Paula, McVeytown; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; and sister, Bernice Cinquini, Ukiah CA. Barbara was of Christian faith. She worked at U.S. Sports in Huntingdon and Empire Kosher in Mifflintown. Barbara enjoyed reading and watching her children and grandchildren and their different sporting activities. She was a member of the Mount Union VFW as well as the Mount Union Sons of Italy. Barbara lived at 16594 Wrangletown Road for 50 years. She was most happy when spending time with her family and friends. Friends and family will be received on Thursday July 22, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Friday July 23, 2021, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, Pastor Bill Benson, officiant. Interment to follow at Orbisonia Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Mount Union Community Library, 11 W Market St. (Rear), Mount Union, PA 17066. Aunt Barbara set us straight on bathing, feeding, and getting our adopted son, Kellen settled in. For months after she returned to PA, we hoped she would approve. Eventually our jitters subsided to good memories. We still smile at the wonderful influence she had on us at our biggest life moment.
