Kissiel, Barry Don, 86, Mapleton, passed away Thursday July 4, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Born February 3, 1938, Mapleton, son of the late Samuel P. and Mary (Skipper) Kissiel. Preceded in death by his wife, Meda E. (Yocum) Kissiel. Also preceded by a daughter, Wanda Hoover; and a brother, Samuel R. Kissiel. Survived by his children, Samuel B. Kissiel; and Michael Kissiel and wife, Denise; 3 grandchildren, Blake Kissiel, Laurel Hoover and Amanda Ranck; and a sister, Sandra Hamilton. Barry retired as the maintenance supervisor for J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital after 46 years of service. Barry was a member of the Bowman’s Chapel Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. Barry will be remembered as a “jack of all trades”. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends. At the request of Barry all services will be private. Interment to be at Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
