Benton John Robert Hancock

Benton John Robert Hancock passed away peacefully on Saturday April 19, 2025, at the age of 23, after a 2-year battle with Osteosarcoma. Born April 2, 2002, Huntingdon. Survived by his love, Courtlynne Danyell Sheeder; his mother Sheila Hancock-Sunderland and husband, Melvin; his father, David C. Hann Sr. and wife, Pam, all of Mount Union; siblings, Mallory Downes and David C. Hann Jr., both of Philadelphia, and Lexi Hann of York; grandmothers, Mary V. Hancock and Janet Hann; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by grandfathers, John L. Hancock Jr. and Herbert Hann. Benton was a founder and co-owner of INM Productions with his best friend, Austin Frederick. He was previously employed at Fiberglass in Huntingdon. Benton had his aviation license to produce music videos and videos for realtors other companies. He was an active social member of American Legion Post 107, Mount Union. Benton was known for his excellent and creative artwork and tattooing. There will be no public services. A private inurnment will take place at Mount Union Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held later at the convenience of the family. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in Benton’s honor to Courtlynne Sheeder, 100 S.
