Bernard C. Swope

Swope, Bernard C., 79, Mount Union, passed away November 10, 2020. Born November 20, 1940 son of the late William Carl and Geraldine (Garman) Swope. Preceded in death by siblings, Adelene Wigamer, Beulah Wilson, Clifton Swope and Millard Swope. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Connie L. (Carmack) Swope. Also survived by children, Carol Jean Henry and husband, Timothy, Mount Union; Beth Ann Drake and husband, Gary, Mount Union; Brian Keith Swope and wife, Julie, Lewistown; 4 grandchildren, Josh Henry, Tiffani Amber Drake, Taylor Swope and Megan Swope; siblings, Deb Cramer, Dave Swope, Mary Dufour and Tim Swope. Bernard enjoyed hunting, walking, and mowing grass. He had a love of animals and was most happy when spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his caring and lively personality. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday November 17 ,2020 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Mount Union, Pastors Jerry Wise, and Gary Hagans co-officiants. Interment to follow at Mount Nebo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Rd, Huntingdon, PA 16652, or the Mount Union Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 217 S Washington St, Mt.
