Hooper, Bonita “Bonnie” Kay, 74, Three Springs, passed away Saturday July 20, 2024, at Mercy House of Chambersburg. Born April 6, 1950, Huntingdon, daughter of the late Allen C. and Lucy M. (Watkins) Nearhood. Survived by her loving husband, Frank Hooper; son, Scott R. A. Hooper and wife, Christy (Rydbom); brother, Roger “Robbie” Nearhood and wife, Teresa; nieces and nephews, Willie, Jill, Aaron, Cole, Paige; and 15 great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a brother, Willis “Willie” Nearhood and an infant sister, Veronica Nearhood. Bonnie was a member of the Crossview Missional Church, Trough Creek. She was a 1968 graduate of Southern Huntingdon County High School. Bonnie was a past member of the Three Springs Fire Company and Ambulance Service as well as a past treasurer and secretary for Three Springs Boy Scouts Troop 71. She served on the Three Springs Borough Council. Most of all Bonnie will be remembered for her caring nature and helping anyone in need. Family and friends will be received on Saturday July 27, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the Crossview Missional Church, 18546 Cooks Rd, Cassville, PA 16623, Pastor Dan Mansberger, officiant. Interment to follow at Three Springs Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Crossview Missional Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
