Charles Bump

Bump, Charles, 84, Huntingdon, passed away Monday June 5, 2023. Born February 12, 1939, Blessing Texas, son of the late Barnet R. and Alma Dora (Schulte) Bump. Preceded in death by wife, Linda Carol (Costelow) Bump; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters. Survived by daughters, Stephanie Lee Bump-Langston and husband, Jim of Houston Texas; Stacey Coster of Roanoke Texas; 6 grandchildren, Wesley, Corey, Riley, Michael, Rachel and Adam; 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, in laws; and loving companion of 30 years, Saundra Whitesel. Charles was a well decorated U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer and member of Seal Team 2, plank owner, serving in various theaters, including the Vietnam War, earning 1 Silver Stars, 3 Bronze Stars, 1 purple Heart, among many other awards and citations. He also retired after 25 years of service from Bonney Forge as a Quality Technician Engineer. Charles was a member of the VFW Post 1754 Huntingdon and UDT Fraternal Order. He loved the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 1 p.m., Standing Stone VFW Post 1754, 520 Penn Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
