Miller, Charles Edward, “Ed”, 88, Newton Hamilton, went home to be with his Heavenly Father Monday, January 6, 2025, at Geisinger Danville Hospital. Born June 9, 1936, son of the late Clyde E. and Bertha B (Bratton) Miller. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Mary Anne (Yocum) Miller; sons, John Charles Miller and David Edward Miller; grandchildren, Amanda Sheeler and Adam Douglas Sheeler; siblings, James Miller and Madilta Miller “Ditty” Fields. Survived by daughter, Elizabeth Sheeler; 8 grandchildren, Shem Miller, Ricky Sheeler, Brittany Parks, Shawna Miller, Dylan Miller, Tyler Woodward, Austin Miller, Jacob Miller; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; siblings Ronald Miller and spouse, Donna; and Opal Jean schlappi and spouse, Carl. Charles worked as an over the road trucker for 50+ years until retirement. He was a member of the Newton Hamilton Methodist Church as well as the Moose Lodge #143 of Lewistown, PA. Charles was a strong supporter of the blood drives at Mount Union Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time at his camp and was an avid hunter in his early years. Charles liked working on vehicles, and spending time with friends and family. A celebration of life will be held later at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
