Charlotte E. "Ann" Himes

Himes, Charlotte Elizabeth (Smith) “Ann”, 81, Mount Union, passed away Sunday November 10, 2024, at Geisinger Lewistown. Born December 23, 1942, Gilbertsville PA, daughter of the late Walter W. and Charlotte (Kane) Smith. Survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert Lloyd Himes; children, Robert R. Himes and wife, Tracey; and Tammy J. Drake and husband, Dennis; 3 grandchildren, Heath H. Himes and wife, Paige; Dustin M. Drake and wife, Lisa; and Ashlyn E. Drake and wife, Brittany; 3 great grandchildren, Easton and Remi Drake and Henry Himes; siblings, Walter “Mike” Smith, and Margaret Jacka; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by siblings, Delilah Frizz, Bruce Hetrick, Mildred Daniel, Daniel Smith, Oscar Smith, John Smith, Ronnie Smith, Peter Smith, Mary Betchel, and Agnes Schanley. Ann attended the Mount Union Christian Missional Alliance Church. She was a member of the Captain Jack Class of 1960. Ann was employed by the Mount Union Area School District Office where she retired after 38 years of diligent service. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and traveling to the beach. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her work ethic and unwavering love and support as the matriarch of her family. Family and friends will be received on Saturday November 16, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, at the funeral home.
