Diven, Clair Lloyd Sr., 84, McVeytown, passed away Saturday January 25, 2025, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. Born July 16, 1940, son of the late Blair R. and Margaret P. (Rittenhouse) Diven. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sharon (McKee) Diven; children, Clair Diven Jr. and wife, Deanna; Todd Diven and wife, Carla; Shawn P. Diven and wife, Lacrisha; 8 grandchildren, Todd Diven Jr. and wife, Erin; Lindsay Moist and husband, Kody; Rachel Diven and significant other, Logan Agler; Garret Diven and significant other, Carley Croyle; Julie Diven and significant other, Paul Rovenolt; Scott Oburn and wife Jeanna; Brad Oburn and wife, Sara; and Cody Wilt; 13 great grandchildren, Evelyn Diven, Ryder Diven, Lucas Moist, Kayla Gentzel, Zoey, Nelli, Maverick, Atlas, Easton, Emma Oburn, Paisun, Kohin Wilt, Warren, and Kohin Harpster, and one to be born July of 2025; and brother, Donald Diven of McVeytown. Preceded in death by siblings, Robert Diven, James Diven, Ken Diven, Terry Diven, Peg (Diven) Schaffer, and Debra (Diven) Price. Clair graduated from Captain Jack (Mount Union Area School District) class of 1958. He served actively in the United States Army 1963 to 1965. Clair married his wife Sharon October 22, 1966. He was employed over the years by American Sand and Glass, North American Brick Yard, Standard Steel, and retired from Over Head Door. Clair was a lifetime member of the Mount Union American Legion Post 107. He enjoyed taking rides through sugar valley, looking for mushrooms, hunting, fishing, pitching horseshoes, and feeding the many animals that came to visit him. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking, Penn State Wrestling, Philadelphia Eagles Football, but most of all just being home on the porch swing with his family.
