Cody Isaac Banks

Banks, Cody Isaac, 21, Mount Union, passed away Tuesday June 20, 2023, at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 28, 2002, Lewistown, son of Nicholas E. and Sarah C. (Blakeslee) Banks. Survived by paternal grandparents, Robert and Deanna “Pat” Banks; maternal grandmother, Sue Ann Blakeslee; future stepmother, Laura and future stepfather, Chris; brother, Cameron Banks; and several future step siblings; uncles, Robert Banks III and wife, Cassandra; Kevin Banks and wife, Amy; Ai Blakeslee and companion, Bonnie; and aunt, Jennifer Rowean and husband, John; first cousins, Kyle, Devin, Nathan, and Emily Banks; Emma Rowean and Brennan Blakeslee. Cody was a 2020 graduate of Mount Union Area High School. He was employed as a machine operator at Trinity Plastics, Lewistown. Cody was passionate about collecting antiques and his ’66 Plymouth Valiant. He will be remembered for his kind nature and being an “old soul”. Family and friends will be received on Friday June 23, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Saturday June 24, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, at the Beech Run Church of the Brethren, 14918 Hares Valley Rd, Mapleton, PA 17052. Service to be at 12 noon, Pastors Ernie Dell and Steve Keim, officiants. Interment to follow at Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery.
