Darlene "Chunk" King

Darlene “Chunk” King, 79, Mount Union, passed away November 13, 2022 at UPMC West Shore, Mechanicsburg, PA. Born July 10, 1943, Huntingdon, daughter of the late Ralph W. and Ethel M. (McNerlin) Ramey. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth D. King. Survived by her two daughters, Tammy J. King and companion Buddy Kester; and Jodi Booher and husband Todd, all of Mount Union; 5 grandchildren, Shawn King, Derek King, Aubrey Smith, Zach Booher, and Kiah Booher; 5 great grandchildren, Espen, Ean, Wrenley, Sutton, and Rowan; two sisters, Donna Chilcote of Mechanicsburg; and Delores “Sissy” Werner of Mapleton; and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Shawn D. and Michael D. King. Darlene’s brother, Ralph “Sonny” Ramey, passed away only one day after Darlene. Darlene retired from Bonney Forge and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and Lannette and Yogi. She also enjoyed playing Mexican train, going to Bello’s on Fridays, and especially loved spending time with her “Golden Girl “friends. Family and Friends will be received on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday November 22, 2022 from 10 a.m. until the 11a.m. funeral service at the funeral home, Pastor Carl Horne, officiant.
