Denise M. (Koons) Slebodnick

Slebodnick, Denise M. (Koons), 68, Sankertown, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at UPMC Altoona surrounded by her family. Born October 12, 1953, daughter of Robert Koons and the late Janet (Jones) Koons. Preceded in death by siblings, Gary Koons and Mara “Tink” Tickerhoof. Survived by her loving husband, Eugene “Cutzie” Slebodnick, Sr.; son, William (Robyn) Bloom, Jr.; daughter, Dena (Chris) Karabinos; stepson, Eugene (Laura) Slebodnick, Jr.; grandchildren, Dylan and Skylar Bloom, Nicholas Foreman, Christopher Karabinos, Jacob and Morgan Slebodnick; sisters, Diane Koons, Marsha McDevitt and Michelle Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. Denise was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. She worked at the West End Market, McDonalds, and also cleaned houses. Denise enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren participating in their sporting events, trips to casinos, gardening and talking on the phone. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Friends and family will be received Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11 a.m., St. Francis Xavier Church, 211 Powell Ave., Cresson. Committal St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery.
