Dennis Alvin Heeter

Heeter, Dennis Alvin “Gabe”, 81, Alexandria, passed away Monday November 13, 2023, at home. Born February 16, 1942, Saxton, son of the late Royer and Leona (Kensinger) Heeter. Survived by his loving wife, Linda Jean (Rumberger) Heeter; children, Dennis Andrew Heeter; Patricia Lancaster and husband, Donald; Dionne Mills; Joseph Heeter and fiancé, Joan; and Heather Heeter; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and sisters, Irene Mong and husband, Chuck; and Betty Ruhlman and husband, Norman. Dennis was a 1960 graduate of Huntingdon High School. Dennis attended the Water Street Evangelical Church. He worked alongside his father at Royer Heeter and Son’s until becoming the owner and operator of Dennis A. Heeter Heating and Air Conditioning. Dennis also expanded into his own stove shop and Heeter’s Oil. He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America and a past Scout Master of Troop 24 in Alexandria. He enjoyed muscle cars, hot rods, and trucks. Dennis was also an avid caver and spelunker in his younger years. In his retirement he enjoyed his hobby farm and hunting with family. At the request of the deceased there will be no formal services.
