Diane L. Helsel

Helsel, Diane L., 76, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Maple Heights Health and Rehab Center in Ebensburg. Born July 24, 1948, Altoona, daughter of the late Paul and Lois (Hoffner) Helsel. Also preceded in death by her longtime family friend, Mary. Survived by a brother, Larry (Donna); her best friend who was more like a sister to her, Beverly, and Jennifer, who she also considered family. After graduating high school, Diane went to nursing school and became an LPN. She worked at Mercy Hospital in Altoona then Bon Secours until she retired. She was a member of the Juniata United Methodist Church in Altoona. In her spare time, Diane enjoyed reading, watching television, playing board games, doing puzzles, and traveling. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Juniata United Methodist Church, 808 N 4th St, Altoona, PA 16601.
