Colian, Dolores T., 85, Cresson, ended her journey in this world on September 15, 2021 at Amber Hills, Ebensburg. She will begin her new journey with her best friend and husband, Albert Colian Sr. who passed on June 30, 2014. She was born February 20, 1936 in Altoona, daughter of the late Harry and Edna (Lilly) Murray. Preceded in death by grandsons, Eric and Bevin Colian; brothers, Paul, Sam, and Joseph Murray; and sister, Mary Irene Grasso. Dolores is survived by children, Albert P. Jr. (JoAnn Klayko), Deborah (Charles Eckenrode), Jeffrey M. Colian (Michele Hatch) and Anita Colian; grandchildren, Sarah, Mary Jo, Matthew, Greg, Jill, Jason, and Nathan; seven great grandchildren; sister, Janet Sheridan; and sister-in-law, Doris Murray. Dolores was a 1954 graduate of Cresson High School. She told her children many stories about life on the Cresson Summit with her widowed mother, brothers and sisters. Even in her declining years she spoke often about the Murray family. Dolores spent the majority of her life living in Sankertown and was very proud of that fact. After retiring from the shirt factory, her and Albie bought a camper and after some traveling decided to park it at Woodland Park. Their new “summer” home became an opportunity to make many new friends and they enjoyed it immensely. Dolores was an Elvis fan and enjoyed the Pirates and Steelers. She was an excellent cook and passed many of her and her mother-in law’s recipes to her children and grandchildren. “Little Grammy” taught her how to make pizzelles one at a time using a cast iron griddle over a gas stove burner. Dolores was an intelligent, kind, thoughtful, loyal devoted sister, mother and grandmother with a great smile and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Friends and family will be received Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. following the viewing at St. Francis Xavier Church, Fr. Leo Arnone celebrant. Committal St. Francis Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org). Arrangements have been entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care™.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com
