Donna Jean Ramsey

Ramsey, Donna Jean (Painter), 85, Shirleysburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 19, 2025, at the Embassy at Woodland Park, Orbisonia. Born August 11, 1939, Pogue, daughter of the late Paul and Myrtle (Barron) Painter. Preceded in death by her husband, Dean Ramsey Sr.; and siblings, Thelma Stevens, Lois Price, Lester Painter, Orlando “Crud” Painter and Doris Miller. Survived by her children, DeAnn Yingling and husband, Bryan; Dean Ramsey Jr. and wife, Regina; Duayne Ramsey and wife, Teresa; 8 grandchildren, Kimberly Henry, Stephanie Castellano, Gabriel Yingling, Kelli Oswald, Dean “Trey” Ramsey III, Jane Ramsey, Dakota Ramsey and Tori Ramsey; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Painter. Mrs. Ramsey was a 1957 graduate of Mount Union High School. She was a devout Christian and most recently attended the Pentecostal Freedom Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School throughout the years and was a ministry and worship leader at Meadowview Manor for many years. She was a past girl scout leader. Mrs. Ramsey enjoyed board games, puzzles, playing cards, baking, planting flowers, tending to her garden and canning vegetables. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends. Family and friends will be received on Friday February 21, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday February 22, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., at the Pentecostal Freedom Church, 14779 Croghan Pike Mount Union, Pastor Rich Hamman officiant. A private interment will follow at Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirleysburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
