Doris Irene (Brubaker) Reilly, 97, Cresson, passed away Jan. 22, 2016, at UPMC Altoona. She was the widow of Francis "Brownie" Reilly, who passed away Jan. 10, 1992. She was born Nov. 22, 1918, in Sankertown, the last surviving child of the late Walter and Gladys (Cornelius) Brubaker. Preceded in death by sisters, Lois Mentch and Hulda Stephens; brothers, William, Robert and Charles Brubaker; sister-in-law, Edna Mae Brubaker; and brothers-in-law, Franklin Mentch and Glenn Stephens. Survived by children: Kerry (Sharon) Reilly, Burke, Va.; Gail Campbell, Dumfries, Va.; Kirk (Mary Margaret) Reilly, The Villages, Fla.; and Connie (Bob) Weiland, Warren, Pa.;9 grandchildren: Robert Weiland, Laura Arnado, Todd Weiland, Brian Reilly, Tami Jo Mitchell, Kerrianne DeMark, Eric Campbell, Kevin Keul and Casey Keul; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Jean Brubaker, Texas. Also survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. Doris graduated from Cresson Joint High School. She was a member of the Cresson United Methodist Church, and Cresson Senior Center. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Cresson Food Pantry since its inception and eventually assumed the duties of pantry manager, for which she earned the "Volunteer of the Year Award" in 2010 during Cresson Heritage Days. Doris enjoyed traveling with her husband and did so extensively, both in the United States and abroad. She also enjoyed running bus trips. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Family and friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles M. Kennedy M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, and from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Monday at Cresson United Methodist, where service will be held at 10 a.m., Rev. Stephen Moore.
