Elizabeth L. Lundberg

Elizabeth “Betty” Louise (Delaney) Lundberg, 82, Lilly, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Born on March 24, 1942, daughter of the late Leroy and Florence (Dobrowalski) Delaney. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clair “Joe” Lundberg, to whom she was married on July 19, 1958; baby brother, Robert Delaney; brother, Joseph Delaney; son-in-law, Richard Clawson; brother-in-law, Dennis Slattery; grandson, Justin Lundberg; nephew, Tim Vanguilder; godson, Randy Hoover; and many other in laws and friends she held close to her heart. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Jeni Baum) Lundberg, Cresson; Kirk Lundberg, Lilly; Pamela Lundberg Clawson, Cresson; Brian Lundberg, Lilly; and Jennifer Lundberg, Lilly, who she legally adopted and raised; siblings, Patty Slattery, Cresson; William (Mary) Delaney, Johnstown; Linda Delaney, Ebensburg; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Whether you knew her as “Mom, Gram, Nanny, Betty, Boode, Betty Lou, or Betty Boop,” there is one common denominator behind all the titles – she was one feisty, sassy, little lady that always made her presence known. Betty devoted her working years as a nurse’s aide with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania until she retired. She was extremely fond of camping and would go as often as she could. Betty was particularly fond of Shawnee State Park. She also had a keen sense and way about her in the kitchen. Cooking and baking came second nature to her, most notably her potato and macaroni salads were always perfect. A special thanks to her devoted hairdresser and friend, Marcie at Marcie’s Salon LTD for keeping her head of hair always looking pristine for decades upon decades and always lending a listening ear. Make no mistake, she would never miss her weekly hair appointment. Many thanks to the UPMC Altoona, Presbyterian Village Hollidaysburg, UPMC Hospice and Anderson Family Funeral Homes for providing the best care for our mom. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her. As per her wishes, there will be a private Remembrance of Life for the immediate family. Paster Gary Shingler officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com
