Elmer Wallace Green “Wally” 79, of Mount Union, PA our beloved father and “pap” peacefully went to be with the lord on November 10, 2021, at 12:15am, surrounded by his loving family. Wallace was born in Huntingdon, PA on March 23, 1942, to the late James and Elizabeth (Richardson) Green. He was a 1962 graduate of Captain Jack High School, Mount Union, PA, where he excelled as an athlete in football and wrestling. Upon Graduation in 1962, Wallace served in the United States Army until 1968. On March 7, 1969, he was united in marriage to the late Doris J. (Rhone) Green for over 50 years. Wallace retired from the Youth Forestry Camp, III in Trough Creek, PA as a food service specialist supervisor after 30 years. Wallace was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved spending time with his family, especially the annual Camping Trip and Christmas festivities. He was a current member of the Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Union, PA. Wallace was preceded in death by his wife, the late Doris J.(Rhone) Green, One son, two loving brothers, George Green Sr., Willie Green, one loving sister, Loretta J. Wilson, and his precious dog Goober. One cousin reared in the Green home as a child, George (Butchie) Green. Wallace leaves to cherish his fond memories to his loving children, Richard and wife Carol Rhone of Levittown, PA, five daughters, Bonita and husband George Carper, Elana and husband Josh Zinn, Dawn Jackson, Mount Union, PA, Cherlynn and husband Oscar “June” Johnson of Philadelphia, PA, Stacy and husband Joey Cross of McVeytown, PA. Eleven grandchildren, Amber and husband Matt Rogers, Ashley and husband Nick Graves, Richard Rhone Jr., Abbigail Carper, Brandon and wife Candace Carper, Charles Whittington, Avery Green and Companion, Emily Rhone, Malakia Jackson and companion, Jamie States, Kachira Cross, Derick Cross, and companion Katie Mease, (Natalie Talbo) and Eleven great grandchildren, Eli Rogers, Ethan Rogers, Amelia Graves, Liliana Carper, Alayna Whitsel, Brayden Musselman, Kaepren Green, Aubrey Green, Charles Whittington Jr., Malakia Jackson Jr., Johnaven Taylor, Three Sisters in law, Mary Green, Joanetta Green, one brother in law, Robert and wife Sue Rhone, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A viewing will be held on Sunday November 14, 2021, Family and Friends will be received from 6pm-9pm. Another viewing will be held on Monday November 15, 2021, from 11am-12 Noon with a Service to follow at 12 Noon, Reverend Herman Burks, Officiant, Interment to follow at Mount Union Cemetery.
