Faye D. Matthews

Faye Deloris Beatty Matthews, 81, passed away on March 11, 2025, at Woodland Park retirement home in Orbisonia, PA. She was born on October 7, 1943, the daughter of the late Seibert and Catherine Manning Beatty. She grew up in Buck Valley, PA and graduated from Southern Fulton High School where she was an honors student before moving to Washington, DC to start a career. She is fondly remembered as a person who had a sweet personality and was fun to be around.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Beatty, and her sister, Nita Beatty White. She is survived by her brothers: Merle Beatty and Randy Beatty of Pennsylvania. Three children: Mark Matthews (Rachel), Glenn Matthews, and Melissa Matthews Mills (Lane) all of North Carolina. And six grandchildren: John Matthews, Jessica Matthews, Easton Matthews, Weston Matthews, Grayson Mills, and Emerson Mills all of North Carolina. In addition, a sister-in-law, Donna Beatty Morse (Roy), a brother-in-law, Doug White, two nieces: Loni Beatty Van Veldhuizen (David) and Tammy Beatty West (Randy), and two nephews: Dillon White and Faron Weller.

A private family ceremony will be held to honor her life. She will be memorialized with a columbarium at the Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery, Chapel Hill, NC. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
