Stevens, Florence E., 94, Lilly, went home to be with the Lord March 7, 2022 at UPMC Altoona. Born November 28, 1927, Lilly, daughter of Walter and Clara (Kois) Godish. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William R. Stevens; and 11 brothers and sisters. Survived by her children, John Stevens; Sandra Thompson Rechtiene and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Jaron, Joyelle, Josh, Andrew, Alivia and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Mason, Jude and Zephyr; and her sister, LeeAnn “Tootsie” Inman. Florence was a member of Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church since birth. She was a 1946 graduate of Lilly-Washington High School. Florence married William on August 25, 1948 in Lilly. Florence worked at the Cresson News Agency prior to devoting herself to being a homemaker. She loved camping and swimming with family and friends at Poe Valley. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, helping to raise 3 generations. She was loved for her compassion, her cooking, and her commitment to family. Friends and family will be received Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10:30-11:30 a.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson. A funeral Mass will be celebrated following the visitation at 12:00 p.m., Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church, 608 Main St., Lilly, Fr. Timothy Harris, T.O.R. celebrant. Committal St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson.
