Jane L. Stewart

Stewart, Jane L., 93, Maple Winds Care Center, Portage, formerly of Cresson, died July 3, 2017, at Maple Winds. Born May 23, 1924, in Cresson, daughter of the late Joseph T. and Leta (McFarland) Stewart. Preceded in death by her older sister, Margaret. Jane grew up in the loving home of her grandfather, William I. Stewart, and aunt, Mary Stewart. Survived by several cousins, her Cresson and Maple Winds friends, and her friends in the Hajdu family. Faithful lifelong member of Cresson United Methodist Church. 62 year employee of James Drug Store, Cresson. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Cresson United Methodist Church, Rev. Stephen Moore. Interment, Odd Fellows and Citizens Cemetery, Cherry Tree. Jane's family and friends are deeply grateful to the Maple Winds staff for the excellent care that she received.
