Jay W. Cook, 77, Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 12, 1944, in Huntingdon, he was the son of the late John W. and Freda G. (Stoner) Cook. He is survived by his loving wife, Trudy K. (Reed); three children, Cassi Cook-Ramper and husband Ronald of Broad Top; Courtney W. Cook and his wife Kristy of Huntingdon; and Travis J. Cook and his companion Meshia Erb, of Huntingdon; 9 grandchildren, Caleb D. and Colton W. Cook, Renlei K. Ramper, Cason W. Cook, Kaitlyn E. and Madison A. Lemin, Tyson J., Trenton J., and Titan J. Cook. Mr. Cook is survived by two sisters, Sandy Curfman and husband Fred; and Penny Weko and husband Mike; and a brother, Denny Cook. Jay was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. Upon his retirement from Bonney Forge, he enjoyed volunteering at the Huntingdon Community Center for over 20 years, doing word search puzzles, working on lawn mowers, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was an avid Steelers and Penn State Football fan. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Huntingdon Community Center, 310 5th Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Huntingdon Community Center in Mr. Cook’s memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
