Joan A. Sibis

Sibis, Joan A. (Tremel), 86, Lilly, passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born June 24, 1938, Lilly, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Galla) Tremel. Preceded in death by her loving husband Francis “Frank” P. Sibis whom she married December 1, 1956. Also preceded in death by her daughter, Darla Sibis; siblings, William “Billy”, Charles (Ann), James (Joanne) and Betty (John) Lego; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Moschgat. Survived by her children, Daniel (Karen), Francis (Nancy), Robert, Rebecca Maloskey and Tom; grandchildren, Danny Sibis, Christina Moyer, Kayla Maloskey, Brandy Russel, Tiffani Maloskey, Jessica Sibis, Katrina Sibis, Franky Sibis and Tabitha Sibis; 8 great-grandchildren, Jazmine Boland, Makenna Smith, Blaise Smith, Ava Russell, Conor Russell, Isla Russell, Darla Sibis and Nicholas Morooco; a sister, Dory Moschgat; and sisters-in-law, Marie Tremel and Gloria LeComte. Joan loved to travel and go shopping with her sister. She also loved swimming in her pool and spending time with her granddaughters and especially her most recent treasure, baby Darla, that brought her the most joy. Friends and family will be received Friday, January 10, 2025, from 4-8 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cresson. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11 a.m., Our Lady of the Alleghenies, 608 Main St., Lilly, Fr. Mathew Reese celebrant.
