Parks, Jonathan Russell 52, Alexandria, Passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Embassy Park Huntingdon, PA, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born March 2, 1972, in Huntingdon, son of Barry J. Parks and Donna E. (Blair) Schueck. Survived by sisters, Traci Miller and Nikki Vilnius; several nieces and nephews; aunt Cheryl and uncle Donnie Blair; cousins, Lucas, Zach, and Thad, as well as many friends. Preceded in death by grandparents, Russell and Kathryn Blair, John and Ardeth Sollers, Sue and Berley “Johnny” Parks. Jonathan was named after both of his grandfathers. He graduated from Huntingdon Area School District, Class of 1991. Jonathan worked as a self-employed carpenter and owned a salvage yard called “The Yard”. Jonathan enjoyed riding dirt bikes, floating in the river, fishing, hunting, camping, and many other outdoor activities. He also enjoyed playing pool in the pool league at the Alexandria American Legion with his team “The Honkies”. Jonathan enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by many. As a showing of continued care and love for others he chose to be an organ donor. A celebration of life will be announced later at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Rd, Huntingdon, PA 16652 or the American Red Cross Disaster Relief, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839.
