Joseph J. Plewa

Plewa, Joseph J., 85, Cresson, passed away January 18, 2022 at Maybrook Hills Rehab and Healthcare Center, Altoona. Born January 10, 1937, Dysart, son of the late Andrew and Alda (McMullen) Plewa. Preceded in death by son, Joseph “Joey” Plewa; and siblings, Patty Clawson, Jeanne Slebodnick, and Robert Plewa. Survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Plewa; children, David Plewa; Debra (Stanley) Noga; Michael Plewa; Susan Pawvluk; and Robert (Carolyn) Plewa; grandchildren, Nicholas Pawvluk; Ciara Shoff; Matthew, Shelby, and Nancy Plewa; Jared and Jason Noga; brother, John (Barbara) Plewa; special cousin, Victoria (Barry) Burkett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting, hanging out with his family and camping down in Newton Hamilton. At Joe’s request, a private viewing and service will be held for his family, Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Burial St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson.
