Leandra Renee Hanes

Hanes, Leandra Renee, 31, Dubois, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 6, 2022, at her home. Born May 3, 1991, Huntingdon, Daughter of Steven T. Hanes Sr. and Mary L. Hanes. Survived by her parents; her two children, Ashin and Bella Hanes; two brothers, Steven Hanes Jr. and Chase Hanes and companion Heather. Also surviving is her special companion, Mike Whelpley; close friend, Maryann Fortson; grandmother, Ruth Hanes; niece, Alivia Hanes; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy Carson Walters, Mervin Jacobb Carson, and Clyde Hanes. Leandra was a 2011 graduate of Mount Union High School. She loved her children and travelling the roads with her companion Mike who is a truck driver. She also loved her dog Zeta, listening to music, playing video games, trying to win fish at the fair, and video chats with her mom, Ashin, and Bella. Leandra was very outgoing and loved people. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a memorial service to take place on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Joseph Barrett officiant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
