Morgan, Loretta L., 82, of Shirleysburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at UPMC Altoona. Born August 21, 1936 in Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Wendell and Pauline (Worthing) Snyder. She was united in marriage to Leon “Jim” R. Morgan, Sr., who preceded her in death on May 21, 2003. Surviving are her children, Leon Morgan, Jr. of Shirleysburg; Ralph Morgan and wife Charlesetta of Mount Union, Wendell Morgan and wife Tricia of Shirleysburg; and Amy Boozel and husband Marty of McVeytown; grandchildren, Danele, Caitlyn, Ralph Jr., Tiffany, Alicia, Ashley, Nathanael, Caleb, Olivia, Morgan, Victoria, Garrett, Wyatt, Mathew, and Cullen; great-grandchildren, Trinna, Trenin, Tarrah, Tobynn, Jacob, Dillon and Chase; and her brother, Robert Snyder of Florida. She was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Leon Morgan III. Mrs. Morgan was a life member of the Singer’s Gap United Methodist Church, Hill Valley. She was also a member of the Bricktown Senior Center and the Red Hat Society. Loretta enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family. From 1970 to 1977, she and her husband owned and operated the Philips 66 Service Station in Mount Union. They also owned and operated Morgan’s Excavating until 2003. She graduated from the Captain Jack High School. Friends will be received Sunday, August 4 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 5 at 11 a.m., at Singer’s Gap United Methodist Church, 16290 Hill Valley Rd., Mount Union, Pastor Dave Miller, officiant. Interment will be at Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirley Township.
