Brooks, Maria Anna, 85, Cresson, passed away April 24, 2020 at home. Born December 11, 1934, Athens, New York, daughter of the late William J. and Lorretta N. (Ellsworth) Brooks. Preceded in death by an infant daughter and son; two husbands; son, Michael MacDowell; brothers, Eugene, George and Francis Brooks; and son-in-law, Regis Newfield. Survived by her four children, John “Jake” M. MacDowell, III; Dianalynne Newfield; Darlena Rager and husband, Denny; Donald K. MacDowell and companion, Shelly Becker; 13 grandchildren, Betty Jean, Donna Marie, David MacDowell, Andrew Ritcher, Brittany MacDowell, Christopher MacDowell, Robert Newfield, Autumn Stephens and husband, C.J., Carl Newfield and wife Jennifer, Brandy Vozsyak and husband James, Jessie Ann Rager, Tracy Bowan and husband Donald, Amee Reid and husband William; 7 great-grandchildren, Micheala Newfield, Kylee Errin, Brenden Newfield, Lilyana Vozsyak, Luna Vozsyak, Christopher and Travis Reid; and two great-great-grandchildren, Aurora Mae Raub and Gary Raub. At Maria’s request, there will be no viewing or services. Interment will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson.
