Marjorie O. Vinglas

Vinglas, Marjorie O., 88, Cresson, died June 9, 2016, at home. Born September 3, 1927, in Glen White, daughter of the late Michael and Grace (Bendon) Chernesky. Preceded in death by sons, Walter P. and Lawrence P.; sisters, Betty Regala (William) and Pauline Mastalski (Joe); and brother, Cletus (Hazel). Survived by husband of 68 years, Walter L. Vinglas, whom she married June 7, 1948; daughter, Carol L. Plunkett (Richard C.), Middletown, Maryland; grandchildren: Oriana L. Poruban (Timothy), Portage; Walter I. Vinglas, Cresson; Matthew R. Plunkett (Melissa); Adam C. Plunkett (Jennifer); and Cara L. Plunkett, all of Middletown, Maryland; and great-grandchildren: Jestin, Jordyn and Jerry Poruban, all of Portage; Tyler Vinglas, Portage; and Harper Plunkett and Makenna Demeza, both of Middletown, Maryland. Marjorie loved her family, her home, and her flower gardens, which were her pride and joy. Member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Cresson. Family and friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where vigil for the deceased will be held.
