Mary E. Sechrist

Sechrist, Mary E. (Worthy), 86, McVeytown, passed away Friday November 1, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. Born September 2, 1938, Altoona, daughter of the late Banks and Ester Bell (Sickenberger) Worthy. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Daniel P. Sechrist. Also preceded by brothers, Bob and John Worthy. Survived by special cousin, Tammy Vaughn and husband, Shawn; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Gladfelter and Pamela Sechrist; and a brother-in-law, Robert Sechrist and wife, Gloria; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Sechrist attended the Way Bible Church. She enjoyed singing and produced a country gospel CD. Mrs. Sechrist liked sewing, crocheting, doing yardwork, spending time with her cat “Kitter Lou” and reading her Bible. She will be remembered as a faithful servant to God and leading many people to Christ. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday November 6, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, at the funeral home, Pastor Brad, officiant.
