Matilda Dalpra Traino Creany. Rejoice with family and friends in the long life and loving memory of Matilda "Tillie" Traino Creany who went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2016, surrounded by her daughter Stephanie and son-in-law Louis Meola. She leaves us to join hands with beloved husbands, Joseph Traino of 42 years, and Mario Creany of 17 years. Born in Cambria County, Tillie grew up in a boisterous family of 11 children. She was born November 28, 1919 to Peter and Santa Dalpra. Preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters, she is survived by sister, Lucille Pelliccioni of Atlanta, Ga. Tillie touched the lives of many throughout her lifetime. She cared deeply for her family and was always there to help a friend. She lived her life to the fullest and her spirit and sense of humor remained to the end of her life. Tillie so enjoyed dancing, music, art and golf. A native of Pennsylvania, Tillie moved to the Hilton Head, S.C. area in 2011 with her daughter and son-in-law, but never forgot her roots and passion for the mountains. We were blessed to have her living with us the last 10 years of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building For Our Future Campaign, St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Hwy. 278, Bluffton, S.C. 29910.
