Imperioli, Nicholas Michael “Nick”, 81, Mount Union, passed away Sunday April 13, 2025, at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, surrounded by his family. Born November 5, 1943, Mount Union, son of the late Michael and Anella (Ambrosino) Imperioli. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Cinda G. (Knox) Imperioli; a daughter, Jennifer Komir and husband, Joe; 2 granddaughters, Mackenzie and Alexandra Komir and a special nephew, Dennis Boggs. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Antoinette Hancock; and in-laws, David and Grace Knox. Nick was a 1961 graduate of Captain Jack High School. After school he attended Shippensburg University where he obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English. Nick spent his career in education starting for one year in Hollidaysburg before spending the rest of his career at his alma mater Mount Union Area School District. Nick passionately served as the Mount Union High School Baseball coach from 1973 to 2016. During his time as a coach, he was proud to be a consistent PIAA District 6 district finalist 27 times, winning 17 district titles and he lead his team to the state championship 3 times and runner-up 2 times. Ultimately retiring with a record of 767 wins, 208 losses, and 3 ties. Nick enjoyed playing golf and watching the New York Yankees and Notre Dame. Most of all he liked to spend time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughters, where he found joy watching them grown and develop in their careers. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday April 23, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of memorial mass at 11 a.m., at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 203 W Market St, Mt Union, PA 17066, Father Joseph Fleming, officiant. Inurnment to follow at St. Catherine Cemetery, Shirleysburg. All those Nick has touched their life are invited to a celebration of life to be held on Sunday May 18, 2025, at the American Legion Country Club, 1 Country Club Road Mount Union, PA 17066, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Blue and Gold Diamond Club of Mount Union, ATTN Tim Hicks 706 N Shaver St, Mt Union, PA 17066, or the Mount Union Community Library, 11 W Market St, Mt Union, PA 17066. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
