Penny Louise Miles

Miles, Penny Louise (Shoemaker), 58, Huntingdon, passed away Thursday November 24, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. Born February 23, 1964, Huntingdon, daughter of the late Edward and Betty (Miller) Shoemaker. Survived by daughter, Heather Miles and companion, Timothy; son, Wesley Miles and wife, Trisha; and 4 grandchildren, Derrick Fultz, Cierra Fultz, Taylynn Miles and Raegan Miles. Preceded in death by brother, Donald Shoemaker. Penny was a 1982 graduate from Huntingdon Area High School. She was employed at Owens Corning Fiberglas from October 1987 to July 2010. Penny was a volunteer with the Oneida Township Fire Department and the Stone Creek Valley Lions Club. She loved muscle cars—especially her 1969 Camaro. Penny was skilled at drawing and enjoyed hand painting derby cars. She was known for her pumpkin rolls and would bake many every year. Penny was a dog lover. Most of all Penny loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Family cookouts and gatherings were what she looked forward to the most.
