Ralson D. Varner Jr.

Varner, Ralson D. Jr., 47, Newton Hamilton, passed away March 15, 2023. Born July 14, 1975, Huntingdon, son of late Ralson D. Sr. and Stella (Hampton) Varner. Survived by siblings, April D. Wilson and husband, Eric, Newton Hamilton; Julie Sheeder and husband, Mark, Shirleysburg; Carolyn Blosser and companion, Kyle, Mount Union; John Kidd III and companion, Candy, Mount Union; Emily Stumpf and companion, Clarence, Mount Union; and several nieces; nephews; aunts; and uncles. Ralson graduated from Mount Union Area High School in 1993, then went on to attend Mount Aloysius College where he completed his bachelor’s degree in nursing. He served as an administrator at the Majestic Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, and most recently as an RN at Guardian Healthcare Brookline, Mifflintown. Ralson enjoyed cookouts, traveling, bingo, spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, and he loved his dog, Thatcher.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday March 21, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, Pastor Adam Shawver, officiant.
