Rhoda G. Howe

Howe, Rhoda G., 88, DuBois, formerly of Cresson, died Jan. 10, 2016, at DuBois Hospital. Born Oct. 20, 1927, in Wehrum, daughter of the late Daniel and Nellie (Selders) Rager. Preceded in death by husband, Francis, on April 12, 1981; brothers Melvin, William, Raymond, James, Paul, and three infant brothers and two infant sisters. Survived by children: Rev. Richard P. , DuBois; Michael F.(Petra), Thornton, Colorado; and Rebecca D., Lilly; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Edna Harasty, Vintondale. Member of Cresson United Methodist Church. Former member of the Hollidaysburg chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star; and Cresson Senior Citizens. Was a volunteer for many years at the Cresson Food Pantry. Family and friends received from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cresson United Methodist Church, Rev. Stephen Moore. Interment, Cresson Cemetery.
