Ricky Gene O'Banion

O’Banion, Ricky Gene, 47, Mount Union, passed away Tuesday December 6, 2022, at UPMC Altoona. Born March 5, 1975, Killeen Texas, son of Gary Gene O’Banion and Teresa Anne (Gilpin) Reynolds. Survived by wife, Cristal Dawn (Spennati) O’Banion; father, Don Reynolds; children, Alex O’Banion, Haley O’Banion, Andria O’Banion, Eric O’Banion, Tressa Spennatti, Dustin Spennatti and Merrill Thomas Taylor Jr.; 12 grandchildren; and siblings, Dusty O’Banion, Wendy Bowen, Misty King, Brandon Reed Reynolds and Dara Diaz. Preceded in death by his grandfather, Clifford Willet. Ricky attended Penn State University and was also a licensed HVAC technician. He was a member of the Nittany Grotto. Ricky loved being outdoors, hiking, caving, playing his guitar, biking, going to the gym and training his dog, Buck. Ricky also liked learning the finer points of cooking. Most of all he loved his family deeply. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday December 13, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 12 noon, at the funeral home, Adam Shawver, officiant.
