Robert J. Culley

i¿½i¿½Culley, Robert J., 93, Cresson, died March 13, 2015, at UPMC Altoona. Born March 11, 1922, in Cresson, son of the late Edward and Ida (Allen) Culley. Preceded in death by son, Leonard "Buzz"; sister, Rita; and brothers, Edward, John, Paul, Francis, Matthew and Donald. Survived by wife of 71 years, Hazel (McConnell); daughter, Carol Domino (James), Riverdale, Md.; granddaughters, Kim and Tract; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Braedon, Kyleigh, Hannah and Trinity; and siblings, Agnes Lomire and Patrick Culley. Army veteran of World War II. Retired in 1983 as an engineer with Penn Central Railroad. After retirement, Bob was a driver with Cresson Area Ambulance Service. Member of St. Francis Xavier Church, and American Legion, Post 238, both of Cresson and Sankertown V.F.W. Post 7377. Family and friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m, Wednesday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Rev. Leo F. Arnone. Committal, church cemetery. Military graveside rite by Cresson American Legion, Sankertown V.F.W. and other local veteran organizations.
