McKnight, Robert Jr., 66, Mount Union, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 6:22 p.m. at home surrounded by his family and friends. Born January 27, 1955, Mount Union, son of the late Robert I. Sr. and Betty K. (Hobble) McKnight. Preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Rhoda M. Hobble; uncles, Raymond L. Hobble Jr. and Kenneth Moore. Survived by wife, Cynthia J. (Himes) McKnight; children, Anthony Sandoval; Christina Sandoval and companion, Mike Miller; Heather C. Sandoval Qureshi; Cristie D. Heffner; and Jessica M. Hamman; grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Katlyn, Braedon, Alissah, Loegan, Alexis, Bryce, Tori, Charity, Zack, Takisha, Ashliegh, Robert, Matthew and Keirstin; great grandchildren, Tarynn, Liam, Felicity and Lynkyn; brother, George McKnight and wife Phyllis; sister, Kathy McKnight Hurley; nephews, Justin, Ryan, Andrew, Nicholas, Ashely and nieces, Wendy, and Lisa; maternal aunt Bonnie L. He was an avid fisherman and member of the B.C.A. Pool League and continued to play with the “boys” on a regular basis. Bob loved spending time with his grandkids, family, and friends. He always had a way of bringing laughter with him everywhere he went or an encouraging word when you would least expect it. He enjoyed eating breakfast every morning with the “Breakfast Club” at Checker’s. “Noodle” loved showing everyone the right way to catch a fish or hunt a deer and the way to tell a well exaggerated story of his weekend adventures. Get togethers will never be quite the same. A celebration of life will be held at the Mount Union V.F.W Post 5754, 14646 Crogan Pike, Mount Union (PA), 17066 on Sunday November 7, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care™.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com.
