Rubye V. Ludy

Ludy, Rubye V. (Koons), 85, Huntingdon, passed away Friday October 22, 2021, at home. Born July 26, 1936, Antrin Township, PA, daughter of the late Earl C. and Enza P. (Minnich) Koons. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Cyrus K. Ludy. Survived by her children, Earl Ludy and wife, Cheryl; Melinda Ludy and wife, Joann; Max Ludy, and Laurie Funk and ex-husband, David; 6 grandchildren, Jason Ludy and wife, Julia; Robert Ludy and wife, Lauren; Adam Ludy and wife, Erika; Megan Ludy, Garrett Funk, Cole Funk and significant other, Erin Glass; one great-grandson, Leonitas Ludy, siblings, Margaret Rockwell, Harold Koons and wife, Rebecca; sisters-in-law, Martha Flook and husband, Leon; Naomi Noel, Esther Barton, and Joyce Ludy; and many nieces and nephews. Rubye worked as a direct caregiver for the state of Maryland at Potomac Center for many years. She enjoyed reading and watching sports in her spare time. Rubye was a member of the Abbey Reformed Church - United where she belonged to the fellowship committee. A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 6, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Abbey Reformed Church – United, 515 6th St, Huntingdon, PA 16652, Pastor Rich Harter, and Pastor Suzann Morelli. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Abbey Reformed Church – United, or the Huntingdon County Library, 330 Penn St, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
