Morder Jr., Terry L., 47, Mount Union, passed away tragically on September 16, 2021, due to the results of a motor vehicle accident. Born April 16, 1974, Huntingdon, son of the late Terry L. Morder, Sr. and Gloria Jean Hampton. Preceded in death by brother, Ronald Morder; great niece, Maddison Copenhaver; father-in-law, Richard Book Sr.; and brother-in-law, Gary Kreider. Survived by his wife, Julie (Kreider); two young daughters, Faith and Liliana, all of Mount Union; sister, Betsy Copenhaver and husband James Jr., Wrangletown; brother, Donald Morder, Mount Union; mother-in-law, Sandra “Grandma” Book, Mount Union; brother-in-law, James Kreider and wife Heather, Shirleysburg; nephews, James Copenhaver III and wife Laura, Mount Union; Austin Kreider; Asher Kreider, both of Shirleysburg; Gary Kreider II and wife Alexis, Broad Top; nieces, Miriah Copenhaver, Mount Union; Kaitlynn Kreider; Sara Kreider, both of Shirleysburg; Chelsea Burdge and husband Seth, Lewistown; 3 great nephews and 3 great nieces. Terry was a 1993 graduate of Mount Union High School. He worked for SCI Huntingdon as the Corrections Food Service Supervisor. Terry was a member of the Mount Union Fire Dept. for 32 years. During his service with the fire dept., he held various positions within the company becoming an active/retired member after serving 10 years as fire chief. Terry was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife and two daughters, whom he cherished. In his spare time, he would be in his garage working on several projects. He enjoyed hunting and making his “Tater” videos. Terry was very well liked and was always the life of the party and making others laugh. He was a very loving and kind person with a huge heart. Terry was an amazing leader and mentor to many. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m., Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, with Pastor Tim Miller officiant. Committal Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirleysburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home.
