Victoria Prough

Prough, Victoria, 83, Mount Union, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born August 11, 1939, Mount Union, daughter of the late John and Mary (Maskulyak) Petron. Preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Prough. Survived by her son, Ronald C. Prough; and daughter, Julie A. Prough; 2 grandsons, Nicholas R. Prough and wife Kelsey; and Richard M. Prough and partner, Abigail Krause; and brother-in-law, Jack Jenkins. Victoria was also preceded in death by all of her siblings, John Evanetz, Gloria Maslanik, Gregory Evanetz, Anna Harker, Pauline Shelton, Elsie Wright, Helen Jenkins, Edward Petron, Anthony Petron and Andrew Petron. Victoria retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglass, Huntingdon. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, United Methodist Women, and enjoyed puzzles, cooking, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 10a.m. until the Noon funeral service at the funeral home, Pastor Gay Irwin, officiant. Interment to follow in the Mount Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Union Community Library, 11 W. Market St., Mount Union, PA 17066 or to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Rd., Huntingdon, PA 16652.
