Hileman, Wilbert E., 91, Mount Union, went to be with the Lord on Sunday August 21, 2022, at Geisinger Lewistown. Born February 16, 1931, in Hill Valley, Huntingdon County, son of the late Walter and Frances (Stange) Hileman. Survived by his loving wife, Agnes (Dubey) Hileman of 48 years; loving daughter, Eileen H. Muir and husband, Gene; son, John Hileman and daughter, Nancy Lerner; stepdaughter, Agnes Hull and husband, Wayne; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Kathleen Ann Knight; and siblings, Bernice Whitsel, Robert Hileman and Donald Hileman. Wilbert worked for the Gettysburg Area School District from 1976 to 1994 and retired after 18 years. Prior to that he lived in Baltimore and worked as a sheet metal mechanic. Wilbert loved gardening, woodworking, and tinkering in his workshop. He especially loved country music and enjoyed playing and singing songs on his guitar. You would often see him driving around town, going to local yard sales and coming home with newfound treasures. He was a frequent diner of local restaurants as well.
